Art & Science Vs. Conflict in the Global Present focuses on the Scientific & Artistic approaches used to empower peacebuilding processes and recover memory from international and non-international armed conflicts

 

Through the examination of the impact of war on society through artistic and scientific representation, ASCGP 2016 will explore how Art & Science are:

 

• Used as tools for historical memory/dignifying the dead/searching for the missing

• Helping us to begin thinking about conflict resolution

• Empowering the search for justice and reconciliation

• How artists often represent a vehicle towards conflict propaganda
